CONDITIONS OF SALE

The kitten/cat will not be mistreated, and will have fresh food, water and a clean litter box at all times. The kitten/cat will receive frequent and kind human attention. The kitten/cat will be provided with a scratching post or/and cardboard scratchboard, as well as plenty of toys. The kitten/cat will receive yearly veterinary examination to include any care needed to maintain the ongoing good health of this animal. The kitten/cat will not be denied veterinary care at any time. The kitten/cat will not be caged, or kept in an unsuitable room, basement or garage. The kitten/cat will not be declawed. The Buyer will not, under any circumstances, give, sell, or lease the kitten/cat to any animal shelter, research facility, laboratory, pet store, or other commercial or noncommercial. It will be the responsibility of the Purchaser to have the kitten examined by a veterinarian within 72 hours. The purchaser will receive a health record of all vaccines  received as well as a schedule of the vaccines still needed to maintain the kitten’s health in the future.

This cat is being sold with no breeding rights. The Purchaser agrees to continue to provide needed vaccinations and veterinary care for the lifetime of this pet. The kitten will live as an indoor pet and will not be allowed outdoors unsupervised.

HEALTH GUARANTEE

The Breeder guarantees the kitten/cat to be healthy at the time of sale (to the best of our knowledge), FeLV/FIV-negative, and free from any life threatening illnesses, infections, internal and external parasites, ear mites, fleas and ringworm. This guarantee is valid for 14 days from the date of purchase. During this period of time, the kitten/cat should not be exposed to any ill animals (doing so will void this health guarantee). The kitten is guaranteed to be of sound health upon arrival into Purchaser’s care, including up to date vaccinations and a health record. There is a 1-year guarantee provided in case of loss of a kitten due to a genetic disease such as HMC and PKD in which case a replacement kitten will be provided upon proof of death from a certified veterinarian (autopsy results are required). (HMC: Feline hypertrophic cardiomyopathy/PKD: Polycystic Kidney Disease); if the kitten/cat dies due to genetic disease within a year from the date of transfer it will be replaced with a kitten of like quality within the following 12 months of receipt of diagnosis via necropsy, autopsy by an authorized lab. Guarantee does not apply to parasites as these are generally easily treatable. Guarantee does not apply to other illnesses or injuries. Kittens and cats are living creatures and as such they may become injured, or ill at any point of time in their life. The Buyer agrees to provide health care for the lifetime of this pet, and is prepared to cover all the costs associated with the cat’s health and wellbeing. If a cat is diagnosed with illness, the owner is responsible for providing the necessary care for the animal; however, the breeder would like to be informed of the cat’s health status.

PURCHASE AGREEMENT

Purchaser places a non-refundable deposit to reserve a kitten (in the amount of $500), and pays the remaining amount of $2300 CAD at the time of kitten pick-up. Purchaser is responsible for all transportation costs including any special veterinary forms required for transport and any import charges and taxes. Should the Purchaser cancel this agreement before the kitten is delivered, or fail to pay the outstanding balance at the time of the pickup, the kitten may be withheld, or sold to another person, and the Purchaser’s full deposit will be retained as a cancellation fee.
